American Idol's Hollie Cavanagh: "I Woke Up This Morning With a Gut Feeling"

The pressure is on as American Idol named its top three contestants Thursday night and said goodbye to 18-year-old Hollie Cavanagh. The blonde Brit from McKinney, Texas, was energetic and upbeat as she faced reporters just over an hour after being eliminated, admitting that she expected her time was up.
"I woke up this morning with a gut feeling," she said with a smile. "I just knew. I told my family and they said regardless, stop crying about it because you're at Top 4. Everyone's proud of me."
One person who couldn't control his emotions was fellow contestant Joshua Ledet, Cavanagh's best friend in the competition, who wept during her final performance of Miley Cyrus' "The Climb." "We've been together since Hollywood week, so I think that it hits a nerve because we've been together for so long," said Cavanagh. "I was fine, but then when I saw him crying, I got teary-eyed."
Even though she misses out on next week's hometown spectacles, Cavanagh admits she has more low-key plans for when she finally returns home. "Just sleep and not having anything on your mind," she said with a laugh. "Music is what I want to do for the rest of my life, so I want to go to sleep thinking about what I want to do in the future and what song I want to put out."
And with the finale just two weeks away, Cavanagh says she's just as curious as the rest of America to see who will walk away the winner. "I have no idea. The Top 3 are amazing, so whoever wins, it's going to be an amazing finale."
