According to the site, Jones was allegedly charged with two crimes in 2011 — one involving violence -- and also gave a false name to the police when arrested. In addition, he reportedly has outstanding warrants.TMZ says the singer failed to provide any of this information to the Idol producers.

The site also reports that footage of Jones being confronted with the information will air during Wednesday's episode.
At around 10 p.m. ET Tuesday, Jones tweeted from his verified American Idol Twitter account, "Awww I will no longer b on the show." The tweet — and the account itself — have since been deleted, but you can see a screen grab of it here.
Fox declined to comment on the report.

American Idol airs Wednesdays and Thursdays at 8/7c on Fox.
