ABC has given freshman comedy American Housewife a full-season order of 22 episodes, the network announced late Friday.

The additional nine-episode order for Housewife comes after four airings, during which the series has established itself as a sleeper hit for ABC. The Katy Mixon-starrer has outperformed the rest of ABC's Tuesday comedies — The Middle, Fresh Off the Boat and The Real O'Neals — to become the No. 1 comedy of the night, with an average of 7.7 million viewers and a 1.7 rating in the adults 18-to-49 demographic.

ABC has also has ordered three more episodes of The Real O'Neals, which anchors its Tuesday comedy block, to bring its Season 2 total to 16 episodes, according to Variety.

Housewife is the third show of ABC's fall freshman class to receive a full season, following Designated Survivor and Speechless. The network has trimmed Notorious' episode order from 13 to 10 — effectively canceling it — while the fate of Conviction has yet to be decided.

Other new shows that have already received full-season orders (of varying length) are This Is Us, Timeless, Lethal Weapon, Bull, Kevin Can Wait and MacGyver.

American Housewife
airs Tuesdays at 8:30/7:30c on ABC.
