Everyone is so busy freaking out over the fact that American Horror Story: Apocalypse is going to be a crossover between Murder House and Coven that the new characters joining the American Horror Story universe really aren't getting their due. Granted, the season hasn't even premiered yet, but I feel like we should definitely be getting just as excited to spend time with Evan Peters' new character as we are to see Tate Langdon again, at least based on the super stylish first pic of the actor in his new role.
On Tuesday, one day before the Apocalypse premiere, FX released the first photos from the season. As always, the portraits are absolutely stunning and the perfect mix between sexy and creepy, leaving you completely unsure how to feel about the subjects, which is exactly what I want from all things American Horror Story. The photos also came with a few character names, revealing that the full name of Sarah Paulson's new role is Wilhemina Venable, that Peters' aforementioned hairdresser character is called Mr. Gallant, and that American Horror Story newbies Ashley Santos and Kyle Allen will be playing Emily and Timothy Campbell, respectively. (Sadly, it truly doesn't appear that Peters will be reprising his Coven role of Kyle, but I guess we can't win 'em all.)
The network also released images of several other new characters, whom we know from the trailer will all be residing inside Outpost 3, the fallout shelter run by Venable. In addition to the previously mentioned residents, we now have images of Adina Porter's Dinah Stevens, Billie Lourd's Mallory, Leslie Grossman's Coco St. Pierre Vanderbilt, Kathy Bates' Ms. Miriam Mead and Cody Fern as the Murder House Antichrist Michael Langdon all grown up. Although FX didn't release an official photo of Joan Collins' character, we also learned Tuesday that her character's name is Evie Gallant, which makes sense given that she's playing Peters' grandmother.
And you know what? Everyone looks LOVELY. The Victorian garb Venable is clearly forcing everyone to wear in her culty underground bunker is really working for them. And Mr. Gallant in that purple suit? It's so extra, it looks like the child of Hotel'sMr. March (Peters) and Cult's version of Andy Warhol (Peters again).
Check out all the photos below and get ready for American Horror Story: Apocalypse's premiere Wednesday at 10/9c on FX.
