See Evan Peters as Tate on the Set of American Horror Story: Apocalypse

This is seriously bringing us back

Evan Peters reunited with a dear ol' friend on Tuesday: Tate Langdon's black hoodie.

Ryan Murphy shared yet another photo from the set of American Horror Story: Apocalypse, this time showing Peters holding up his Murder House character's iconic sweatshirt. "Tate. Happy to be home," Murphy wrote.

But the last time American Horror Story fans saw Tate, he was anything but happy. After Violet (Taissa Farmiga) found out the truth about her boyfriend (namely that he raped her mother and is a serial killer/mass murderer), she ended things and opted to focus her afterlife on spending more time with her family. Tate wasn't dissuaded though, telling Hayden (Kate Mara) that he'd wait for Violet for eternity -- and he meant that literally, being a ghost and all.

As of now, it hasn't been confirmed how many roles Peters will be playing in Apocalypse. We know that in addition to Tate, Peters will be playing a new character, a hairdresser whose grandmother will be played by American Horror Story newbie Joan Collins. We would be surprised if Peters didn't also reprise his Coven role of Kyle, who took over as the house butler and got his happily ever after with Zoe (Farmiga) after strangling Madison (Emma Roberts) to death in the season finale.

But let's be honest: The only character we really cared about Peters playing in Apocalypse was Tate, so we can all rest easy now.

Tate. Happy to be home.
