Some major players are headed to American Gods in Season 2.

The series has added several actors in key roles including Dean Winters as the villainous Mr. Town. In the upcoming season, Mr. World (Crispin Glover) enlists Mr. Town to find out what exactly Shadow (Ricky Whittle) knows about Mr. Wednesday's (Ian McShane) ultimate plan, and his brutal ways of divulging information might get him the answers he needs.

If Winters seems familiar, that's probably because he's appeared in many of your favorite shows over the last few decades. His credits include Detective Brian Cassidy in Law & Order: SVU, the Vulture in Brooklyn Nine-Nine, Dennis Duffy in 30 Rock and Tommy Gavin's brother Johnny in Rescue Me. However, his best dramatic work was probably playing Ryan O'Reily in Oz.

The series also tapped Devery Jacobs to play Sam Black Crow, a cynical college student who sells chainsaw art on the side of the road. In the books, she hitches a ride with Shadow as he passes through Illinois. Meanwhile, Shameless actress Kahyun Kim will recur as New Media, the successor to Gillian Anderson's Media, and will represent the role social media plays in modern life.

American Gods is expected to return to Starz in 2019.
