When Piers Morgan announced he's stepping down as judge of NBC's America's Got Talent after six years, rumors started flying that radio shock-jock Howard Stern would join Sharon Osbourne and Howie Mandel at the judge's table when the reality competition show returns next summer.
Even though he did not directly confirm the reports, AGT producer Simon Cowell dropped some big hints about Stern's participation in the show. "I'd say it's a pretty good shot," Cowell told TV Guide Magazine with a slight smirk on Thursday night after a taping of Fox's The X Factor.
"As a producer, if it happens, it's good news," added Cowell. "I'm going to have a long year [laughs], but I can deal with that."
