The Walking Dead Brings Zombies to the Small Screen

AMC has toyed with mad men and meth chemists, but now they're taking it a step further with the new zombie thriller The Walking Dead. Set to premiere on — you guessed it — Halloween, the series follows Rick Grimes (Andrew Lincoln), a small-town officer who wakes up in a deserted hospital only to discover the world has been overrun by zombies. The Shield star joins AMC zombie drama Sound familiar? It should. It's based on the 2003 graphic novel of the same name from Robert Kirkman.
