The American Revolution drama will return in 2017
AMC is ending the revolution, but not without a bang.
It's a bit of good news, bad news for Turn: Washington's Spies, AMC's drama about the American Revolution, as the network said the series will end after its just-announced fourth season. Ten new episodes will air in 2017.
The series is based on Alexander Rose's book Washington's Spies: The Story of America's First Spy Ring and follows a Long Island farmer who partners up with childhood friends to form the Culper Ring, a band of civilians who turned against their British king and helped turn the tide of the Revolutionary War. Jaime Bell, Seth Numrich and Daniel Henshall star.
In addition, Turn: Washington's Spies executive producer and showrunner Craig Silverstein has extended his development deal with AMC and will continue to create shows for the network.
