AMC has ordered two new dramas starring Pushing Daisies alum Lee Pace and Billy Elliot star Jamie Bell, the network announced at Friday's Television Critics Association's fall TV previews.

Pace will star in Halt & Catch Fire, a series set in the early 1980s that centers on the personal-computer boom as seen through the eyes of a visionary, an engineer and a prodigy whose inventions clash with the corporations. Taking place in Texas' Silicon Prairie, these characters' personal and professional relationships are challenged by greed and ego. Argo's Scoot McNairy, Smashed's Mackenzie Rio Davis and Red State's Kerry Bishe also star in the series, which is executive-produced by Jonathan Lisco (Southland), and Breaking Bad's Mark Johnson and Melissa Bernstein.

Doctor Who: Who should be the next Doctor?

Bell will headline Turn, which is based on the book Washington's Spies by Alexander Rose. The series is set in the summer of 1778 and tells the tale of New York farmer Abe Woodhull who, with his childhood friends, forms The Culper Ring, an unlikely group of spies who help America in its quest for independence. Turn comes from Nikita showrunner Craig Silverstein, who will executive-produce with Bones' Barry Josephson. Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides' Kevin McNally, The Dark Knight Rises' Burn Gorman and The Good Wife's Seth Numrich will co-star.

Both series will start production later this year and premiere on AMC in 2014. Which series are you most excited for?
