Better Call Saul will premiere Sunday, Feb. 8 at 10/9c, AMC announced Thursday.
The Breaking Bad prequel will air its second episode the following night at 10/9c. Better Call Saul will then continue to air on Mondays for the remaining eight episodes in its first season.
"This February, during AMC's first ever two-night series premiere event, we're going to introduce Jimmy McGill to the world. Known to Breaking Bad fans as Saul Goodman, viewers will soon discover Saul wasn't always Albuquerque's top criminal (criminal) lawyer," AMC President Charlie Collier said in a statement. "Huge thanks to Vince Gilligan, Peter Gould, Bob Odenkirk, our partners at Sony, and the entire team. We're thrilled to be cooking together again."
Set six years before Saul (Odenkirk) meets Walter White, Better Call Saul focuses on his transformation from small-time lawyer Jimmy McGill into the notoriously crooked lawyer Saul Goodman. Jonathan Banks will reprise his role as Mike and Michael McKean, Rhea Seehorn, Patrick Fabian and Michael Mando also star.
AMC has already ordered a 13-episode second season. Watch the new trailer below:
