Amber Tamblyn Checks Into House

Amber Tamblyn has signed on for a multi-episode arc in the upcoming season of House, Fox announced Wednesday.

She arrives as a brilliant and aggressive new team member. There's one snag: House (Hugh Laurie) hires her even though she's still a medical student and not technically allowed to practice medicine yet.

Has Dr. House found his new pet now that Thirteen (Olivia Wilde) has taken off? Not likely. Tamblyn's character will feel conflicted with House's morally and ethically ambiguous ways of practicing medicine.

The 27-year-old actress — best known for her roles in the TV series Joan of Arcadiaand The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pantsfilms — most recently starred on The Unusualson ABC.

Season 7 of House debuts Monday, Sept. 20 at 8/7c on Fox.
