[SPOILER ALERT: The following story reveals the winners of The Amazing Race 23. Read at your own risk.]
After clocking in more than 35,000 miles in nine countries, ER doctors Travis and Nicole, exes Tim and Marie, dating couple Jason and Amy, and cousins/Afghanimals Leo and Jamal face off in the final two legs for the $1 million on The Amazing Race 23.
's Ally and Ashley: It's frustrating that Amy helped Nicole
The final four travel from Indonesia to Tokyo, where they have to go to Gotokuji Temple. The clue is a Detour: become a human bowling ball and score a strike at a Japanese game show or listen to a phone call in a giant goldfish tank and deliver the message (oh, the Japanese!). The Afghanimals, who take another flight and arrive 10 minutes earlier, pick the former — and look! It's our favorite Japanese game show host from Season 15 and Season 20! They finish first, while the taxi drivers of the other three teams refuse to separate and drive them to the phone Detour, which the doctors, and Jason and Amy do. Tim and Marie eventually make their way to the bowling and finish fourth.
Before they can do the Roadblock — building a robot — the Afghanimals have to complete their Speed Bump and capture an escaped "rhino." Amy and Nicole continue their alliance and build their robots together, which Jamal calls "embarrassing," while Leo and Marie build theirs themselves. Marie blows past everyone and gets it right on her first try, and she and Tim win the leg — their third overall. Amy rebuilds her robot and completes it second, but she helps Nicole redo hers before leaving, as Leo realizes his mistake. Jason and Amy get second place, and Travis and Nicole beat out the Afghanimals for the third spot.
's Nicky and Kim: We didn't stand a chance after we got U-Turned
The final three teams fly to Juneau, Alaska, and take a speedboat to Grizzly Bar, where the clue is a Roadblock: simulate a supply drop of flour on a target. Amy gets it on her second try, followed by Marie on her 12th and Nicole on her 21st (Travis is not happy). Next, the teams have to cross a glacier and then chip out the clue lodged in the ice, which tells them to paddle a kayak to a marked island. The clue there instructs them to head to Blueberry Hills Trailhead.
The last task there is the memory challenge: There are a bunch of totem pole pieces, and they have to build a wall of them and spell the names of currency in the countries they've visited chronologically. Jason and Amy complete it first, shortly before Tim and Marie, and they head to the finish line at the end of North Douglas Highway.
TV couples: Still hot or not?
And Jason and Amy win the $1 million! Tim and Marie get second (and Phil makes them reveal their 60-40 money split for Marie), and Travis and Nicole finish third.
"We didn't come in second place," Amy says, referencing their six second-place finishes.
And a bonus sneak peek: The new season will be another all-stars outing — the show's third.
"This is the most competitive group of teams we have ever had," Keoghan tells TVGuide.com of the new season. "This season is all about teams having the chance to rewrite their Amazing Race history. For some of them that history has been irking them since their last race."
Amazing Race winners Jason and Amy: We're still speechless
