HIMYM Star Alyson Hannigan Joins CBS Comedy From Matt Damon and Ben Affleck

Alyson Hannigan isn't taking much time off.

The How I Met Your Mother star, who will film the show's series finale later this month, has signed on for the CBS pilot More Time With Family, TVGuide.com has confirmed.

Executive-produced by Matt Damon and Ben Affleck, the multi-camera comedy centers on a husband and father (The Marriage Ref's Tom Papa) who makes a career change to spend more time with his family. Hannigan will play Cindy, Tom's wife.

Papa will write and executive-produce with Josh Goldsmith and Cathy Yuspa (13 Going on 30). Dave Becky (Real Husbands of Hollywood) and Josh Lieberman will also serve as executive producers.

Hannigan is also known for her role as Willow on Buffy the Vampire Slayer. What do you think of her new gig?
