Sunday Night Football's Al Michaels Arrested on DUI Charge

Sportscaster Al Michaels was arrested and charged with driving under the influence after he was stopped at a DUI checkpoint in Santa Monica, Calif. Friday night, CNN reports.

Michaels was booked and charged with misdemeanor DUI around 10 p.m., according to CNN. He spent five hours in jail before being released on his own recognizance early Saturday morning. 

Michaels is the play-by-play announcer for NBC's Sunday Night Football. He is scheduled to appear in court on June 26.
