Welcome back to the Land of Ooo. HBO Max will be giving fans of Cartoon Network's Adventure Time a few more adventures with with Finn and Jake in the form of four new one-hour specials titled Adventure Time: Distant Lands.
HBO Max announced on Wednesday that the first two specials, titled BMO and Obsidian, will premiere in 2020, and the other two, called Wizard City and Together Again, will follow at a later date.

The streaming service also released descriptions for the quartet of Adventure Time: Distant Lands specials:
In a statement, HBO Max's head of original content Sarah Aubrey said, "The enchanted world of Adventure Time has mesmerized viewers and critics alike as Finn and Jake right wrongs and battle evil. The addition of these specials to the HBO Max kids and family programming lineup is sure to make kids everywhere say 'Slam-bam-in-a-can!"
Cartoon Network's chief content officer Rob Sorcher added, "Adventure Time was a groundbreaking series and a creative playground for so many talented creative artists. Producing Adventure Time: Distant Lands for HBO Max will allow our studio to explore this beloved world in an all-new format."
Adventure Time premiered on Cartoon Network in 2010 and concluded its critically-acclaimed run with an emotional finale in 2018. The series is currently available for streaming on Hulu.
