ABC Orders Six More Series For Fall

Matthew Perry and Michael Imperioli are among the stars returning to TV as ABC picked up six more new series this fall, Variety reports.

Friendsstar Perry will return to the small screen in Mr. Sunshine, a comedy about a sports arena manager facing 40. Perry will executive-produce the series, which co-stars Allison Janney.

ABC has also ordered two romantic comedies: Happy Endings and Better Together.

 Happy Endings, created by David Caspe, focuses on a couple who split at the altar and how the breakup hits their friends. Eliza Coupe, Elisha Cuthbert (24), Zachary Knighton (FlashForward), Damon Wayans Jr. (My Wife and Kids), Casey Wilson (Saturday Night Live) and Adam Pally will star.

Better Together (formerly known as That Couple), which looks at two couples in widely different relationships, is from Shana Goldberg-Meehan and stars JoAnna Garcia (Privileged), Jennifer Finnigan (Head Case), Josh Cooke (Four Kings), Jake Lacy, Kurt Fuller (Supernatural) and Debra Jo Rupp (That '70s Show).

Among the dramas, Imperioli — who won a supporting-actor Emmy for his performance in The Sopranos — headlines the cop series Detroit 187. Jason Richman wrote the pilot, which follows homicide cops.

The Whole Truth is Jerry Bruckheimer's second new series for 2010-11, following NBC's Chase. The drama, which examines legal cases from the prosecution and defense perspectives, stars Rob Morrow (Numb3rs), Joely Richardson (The Tudors) and Eamonn Walker (Kings).

V renewed for second season

Formerly titled Generation Y, My Generation follows a decade in the lives of a group of former high school classmates and comes from Noah Hawley (Bones).

The pickups put two other bubble shows' renewals in question. Morrow would return to Numb3rs if the CBS series is renewed and Knighton is still tied to ABC's FlashForward if it returns for Season 2.

News of ABC's six new shows comes on the heels of ABC's first order for fall — the superhero drama No Ordinary Family.
