After reportedly fuming over how Michael Strahan's move to Good Morning America happened without giving her any advance warning, Kelly Ripa got an apology from ABC brass for blindsiding her with the news, CNN reports.
Ripa is preparing to move past last week's controversy, especially after the executives expressed regret for the way Kelly was told the news. Ripa got the apology from Ben Sherwood, president of the Disney-ABC Television Group, as well as many of his top team members.
Ripa sent an email to the show's staff announcing her return to work last week, saying "I wanted to thank you all for giving me the time to process this new information... Your kindness, support, and love has overwhelmed me. We are a family and I look forward to seeing you all on Tuesday morning."
