Marvel's Agents of S.P.I.N.O.F.F.?

ABC is eyeing a Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. spin-off from Marvel Comics, Entertainment Weekly reports.

The offshoot is being developed by S.H.I.E.L.D. executive producer Jeffrey Bell and writer Paul Zbyszewski, according to EW.

Shows on the bubble: Which will survive?

Specifics on the project - including which characters will be making the jump and when it would premiere - are scarce. However, story elements that will be introduced on S.H.I.E.L.D. later this season will set the stage for the new show, EW reports.

Though ABC has yet to officially pick up Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. for a third season, the show is likely to be renewed, especially given this latest news.

If the spin-off comes to fruition, this would be Marvel's third show for ABC, after S.H.I.E.L.D. and Agent Carter.
