90210 Exclusive: Latin Pop Star Joins the Cast

Mexican pop star Diego Boneta is joining the cast of 90210, TVGuide.com has learned exclusively.

Boneta will play Javier, a young musician, in multiple episodes beginning in May. Javier has a fling with Adrianna (Jessica Lowndes), whose story line will become increasingly music-centric when she joins an all-girl band.

This will be Boneta's first high-profile American acting gig. As a recording artist, Boneta (who has also performed as Diego Indigo and Diego Gonzalez) has been nominated for Latin MTV Awards and Latin Grammys. Check YouTube for fan videos — it's lousy with 'em. Fun fact: He also once opened for Hilary Duff!
