Stephen Collins will not be prosecuted for child molestation, TMZ reports.

Audio surfaced last week of the former 7th Heaven star allegedly admitting, during a therapy session with his estranged wife Faye Grant, that he molested and exposed himself to three children on separate occasions. However, according to law enforcement sources, it's unlikely that the cases will go anywhere since all three incidents reportedly took place decades old and the statute of limitations will have run out.

Stephen Collins dropped by agency

The Los Angeles Sheriff's Department is currently investigating a claim that Collins exposed himself to a 13-year-old in 1983. The New York Police Department is investigating a report filed in 2012 about an incident that occurred in the '70s.

Grant claims that Collins also molested another child while filming 7th Heavenfrom 1996 to 2007, but so far, no victim has come forward.

Even if Collins is not prosecuted for child molestation, the allegations against him will undoubtedly play a huge role in his divorce trial next month. Grant reportedly wants to use the issue to protect her portion of the couple's assets, while Collins intends to use it to support his claim that she used the audio to extort money from him.
