24 Takes a Licking, But Will Keep on Ticking

Having weathered perhaps its loudest season yet of critical derision, but with a top-secret plan to "reinvent" itself in place, 24 has been renewed by Fox for two more "days," through the 2008-09 season, says the Hollywood Reporter. Back in April 2006, series star Kiefer Sutherland signed a separate multiyear deal with 20th Century Fox TV to stick with the show through 2009.Alas, the news is not as good for another bomb-centric drama, CBS' Jericho.
