Critics' Choice Awards 2019: See the Winners List

Sandra Oh, Rachel Brosnahan and a Best Actress tie (!!)

Amanda Bell

Not to be lost amid all the awards season hooplah is the 2019 Critics' Choice Awards. This still-nascent event is like the Golden Globe Awards, in that it recognizes both TV and film, but instead of being voted on by the foreign press, its winners are decided by TV critics and journalists of the Broadcast Television Journalists Association.

This year, there were many selections that echoed the HPFA's choices on the TV front. Sandra Oh added a new trophy to her shelf for her compelling turn in Killing Eve and Rachel Brosnahan took the stage to accept another prize for The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel.

Yet, there were also some key differences in the results of the Critics' Choice as well. Rather than The Kominsky Method's Michael Douglas, it was Barry's lead actor Bill Hader who won for Best Actor in a Comedy Series. And instead of choosing between the electric performances of Patricia Arquette in Escape at Dannemora and Amy Adams in Sharp Objects (note: the Globes chose the former), the ladies got to share the stage and celebrate a tie win.

Meanwhile, The Crown's Claire Foy was also awarded the #SeeHer award for her portrayal of powerful women on screen and mega-producer Chuck Lorre received the Creative Achievement award for his vast library of small screen accomplishments.

Here's a look at all the Critics Choice TV winners for this year.
