A day after getting shut out at the Screen Actors Guild Awards nominations, Empire rebounded with two Golden Globe nominations Thursday.

Henson will face off for lead actress drama honors against Outlander's Caitriona Balfe, Viola Davis (How to Get Away with Murder), Eva Green (Penny Dreadful) and Robin Wright (House of Cards). The defending champ in both categories, The Affair and its star Ruth Wilson, were snubbed.

Over in film, Carol, Mad Max: Fury Road, The Revenant, Room and Spotlight are up for drama picture, while The Big Short, Joy, The Martian, Spy and Trainwreck will duke it out for the comedy/musical picture prize.
