Looks Like Clay Is the Prime Murder Suspect in 13 Reasons Why Season 3 Trailer

Suspicions are flying in the final trailer for 13 Reasons Why Season 3.

In the latest look at the Netflix series' return, the students of Liberty High are informed over the school's PA system that their classmate Bryce Walker (Justin Prentice) has been found dead. It doesn't take long for the finger pointing to begin.

Bryce was, of course, responsible for a lot of people's pain, so there are plenty of names in the students' whispered list of suspects. He sexually assaulted Jessica Davis (Alisha Boe), for one thing, and he and Zach Dempsey (Ross Butler) had a major falling out. Not to mention the fact that Tyler Downs (Devin Druid) has a gun and some deep-seated contempt for bullies like Bryce.

But the police seem to have their eyes on Clay Jensen (Dylan Minnette), who has been hell bent on getting justice for what Bryce did to Jessica and to Hannah Baker (Katherine Langford) before Hannah's death. In the trailer, Clay maintains his innocence after being apprehended by the authorities, but his nerves seem especially rattled when he's faced with Bryce's mother, Nora (Brenda Strong), who seems to know just how much Clay hated her son.

13 Reasons Why Season 3 premieres Friday, Aug. 23 on Netflix.
