'The Stranger' follows the path of the mysterious Stranger--a noted art collector turned fugitive-- and the collection of unsavories traveling in his wake. With a haunting soundtrack and a surrealist visual palette twisting the tension between small town USA and the vindictive city wilderness just beyond its borders, 'The Stranger' paints an intrinsic portrait of artistic violence and its consequences. A troll-like Painter's community is populated with the art dealer, the art thief, the sheriff with his own law, a sociopathic hitman, and other despairing individuals. As the fugitive Stranger tries to distance himself from the creeping darkness, he entangles himself in a web of suffering. The cost of our art is staggering!
