Sheffield, who played Boy in the "Tarzan" films, got his chance at his own Tarzan-like role here, playing the young white boy who grows up in the jungle. The "Bomba" series was not one of Monogram's best efforts, though the kids did (and still do) enjoy the films. Here, Bomba stops some evil lion hunters in a pre-Rachel Carson plot. He tells them that the lions were meant to run free but do you think those hunters listen? He saves the king of beasts, and Todd for good measure. Plenty of bad acting and an overabundance of cheap stock shots do not help much, unless this is watched for camp's sake.
