John Payne is the tough guy whom Moorehead brings in to supervise the cutting down of the timber. She needs the money so she can give her niece, Morrow, enough money to make it in the big city. Payne wants to get the job over with soon so he can get his money and go away. Morrow becomes interested in Payne but is turned off when she sees Payne with Roberts, whom she mistakes for his lover. But Roberts is, in fact, John's sister-in-law, married to his brother, Arlen, who has been a bad boy. Payne is working hard so he can pay off Arlen's debts before the police come after Arlen. There's some derring-do and you just know there's going to be a fire--why else call it THE BLAZING FOREST? If you like falling trees, this is your movie.
