When Doran's brother uses her trunk to hide some money he stole from his outlaw gang, she finds herself in trouble. The brother has just bought a ranch for Doran, and the outlaws want her to sell it and give them their money back. Fortunately Gibson and sidekick Elliott come to the rescue, saving her after she is kidnapped. A strictly by-the-book western, SUNSET RANGE used a tie-in contest with a national toothpaste company in order to draw crowds to the theater.
