South Sea Sinner Reviews

In this tropic picture, Carey finds that the rest and relaxation he is seeking on a small South Sea island is interrupted when he comes in contact with cabaret singer Winters. This sparks some jealousy in her boss Adler, who makes things as rough as possible for the easygoing Carey. Neither the settings nor Winters' persona manages to evoke the exotic island atmosphere that was intended. Liberace makes his screen debut as the accompanying pianist for Winters' vocal numbers. Songs include: "I'm the Lonesomest Gal in Town" (Lew Brown, Albert Von Tilzer), "It Had to Be You" (Gus Kahn, Isham Jones), "Blue Lagoon" (Frederic Herbert, Arnold Hughes), "One Man Woman" (Jack Brooks, Milton Schwarzwald).
