Safe in Hell Reviews

A hard-bitten story that carried a "not for children" tag. Mackaill is a tough call girl who thinks she killed one of her "dates" after a fight that subsequently started a fire. A sailor gets sweet on her and takes her away to a tropical island that has no extradition laws. On the island are other seedy-looking fugitives, all of whom put the make on Mackaill. The man she thought she had killed turns up, after which she finishes him off for good. A winding story with no real direction ends with Mackaill turning over a new leaf on the way to her execution. It wasn't for children, and many adults didn't take to it either.
