Red Canyon Reviews

Duff plays a drifter in the Old West, who is trying to catch a wild stallion when he comes across Blyth, daughter to the territory's top horse breeder. Duff wants the wild stallion to race in an event that Brent, Blyth's father, has all intentions of winning, thus setting up a confrontation between Brent and the man who is wooing his daughter. Greater conflict is added when it is realized that Duff comes from a family of notorious horse thieves. But Duff clears his name and gets Blyth when he shoots his pa and brother in a climactic gun battle. The color photography of the Utah scenery, along with footage of wild horses, adds a spark to the story of human conflict, giving it credence beyond that of a formula western. Both Duff and Blyth give acceptable performances.
