The Thanhouser company's rival to Mary Pickford, Gladys Hulette, played a spunky Irish lass in this romantic comedy-drama penned by one of the early silent era's more prolific screenwriters, the redoubtable Agnes C. Johnson. This time, Miss Johnson had crafted a slightly far-fetched story of a waif who obtains the job of scullery maid in the upwardly mobile Caldwell household. While juggling the pots and pans of the title, little Peggie McGraw finds enough time to save Marian Caldwell (Kathryn Adams) from falling prey to fake millionaire Million Dollar Deane (Arthur Bauer). Just as Marian is safely reunited with her true love, Eighteen-per-Week Jack (Lord McCaskill), her brother Rah-Rah Arthur (George Marlo) becomes involved with one of Million Dollar's more dangerous schemes. Assisted by her chauffeur boyfriend Taxi Barney (Wayne Arey, "Pots and Pans" Peggie once again comes through for the unfortunate Caldwells and the story comes to a happy ending after all. The popular Thanhouser "kidlet," Helen Badgley, and her real life brother Gerald played Peggie's comedy relief siblings and the Moving Picture World termed the whole concoction "a delicious tale of thrills and foolery."
