Payment Deferred Reviews

Laughton is excellent as a suburban murderer who buries his victim in his garden. The film's script was adapted from a play by Jeffrey Dell in which Laughton starred. O'Sullivan is gripping in a final scene. The film ends on an ironic note with Laughton being hanged for a murder which was in reality a suicide.
