Valerie Bertinelli plays Pancho Barnes, one of aviation's first women pilots. A flamboyant non-comformist whose penchant for outrageous behavior led her to flee arranged marriage. Became an ace pilot and turned her ranch into flying school which later became Edwards Air Force Base. She set several flying records and was a friend to Chuck Yeager.
