Danny Nielsen is a lonely ten-year old boy who lives with his Aunt Teddie, a beautiful and wealthy entrepreneur. Though Teddie tries her best, her callous boyfriend Phillip makes matters difficult. Danny often finds refuge in Deep Well - Teddies' breathtaking stretch of land believed to be filled with hidden gold. One day he discovers an ancient cave, the legendary prison of Atlas - the mythological demigod who holds the world on his shoulders. What begins as freedom for Atlas soon develops into a daily adventure as he tries to adjust to modern world, and the family he has been adopted into. Teddie is obviously attracted to this stranger who claims he is a demigod but Philip has ulterior goals for the sacred land Atlas has been released from. Finally Atlas must make a decision whether to stay on Earth and help his new friends or return to the stars to find his long lost love, the morning star Aurora.
