Lori has pushed her body for years, striving to achieve her goal of professional ballet dancer. Now approaching thirty, she gets her big break. With triumphant adrenaline coursing through her veins, Jessica packs a bag while Kyle watches sports in the next room. Almost immediately, her doubts return... Will she really leave him this time? Jessica's brother, Mark, is aware of Kyle's mistreatment of his sister, but he's occupied with his own relationship problems. His live-in girlfriend, Vanessa, is young and sexy, and has lost respect for him since he's been out of work. Tired of supporting Mark, Vanessa cheats on him. Mark discovers her betrayal on the morning he is turned down for yet another position. Deeply depressed and unable to find a reason to go on, Mark heads up to the roof. Before he jumps, he has one last piece of business to attend to. He reaches out to his sister, Jessica. He urges her to do what he can't - leave her abusive boyfriend and be happy.
