After losing his entire family in the Tsunami of December 2004, Raju re-locates to ECR in Tamil Nadu, and rather dramatically finds employment at an Indian Oil Petrol Pump. There he meets with wealthy and snobbish final year B.A. student, Priya, and undertakes to make her fall in love with him. He does succeed, and she introduces him to her brother, Vettri, a renowned local advocate. Shortly thereafter Raju will find his life turned upside down after Priya goes missing, and he becomes the prime suspect in the eyes of the law.
