Ossie and Tito are the sons of Papa Riley (GABRIEL BYRNE), a Traveller King who has rejected his tribe and his nomadic roots to settle with his children amid the grim tower blocks of Dublin. Their mother died giving birth to Ossie, something for which the still broken and grief-stricken Papa blames himself and the superstitious ways of the fellow travellers he has fled to Dublin to escape.
