HOMEBODIES is a strange little shocker about a murderous group of geriatrics. Marsh is a social worker with no soul, who evicts a number of elderly people from their Cincinnati apartment building. The building is in the way of a new construction project and simply has to go. Rather than

fight City Hall, the senior citizens take a more direct approach. They stab Marsh to death and gruesomely do away with construction workers. The senior citizens as portrayed as everyday people fed up with an uncaring system--which makes the fairly graphic violence all the more shocking. Well-shot

and -directed, the film is an impressive combination of social comment, character study, black humor, and the macabre.
