A below-par crime thriller which has Scott as a policeman thrown off the force, turning to the bottle, and becoming a detective in a sleazy hotel. He comes out of his drunken binge when his ex-wife comes to him for help. Their son has been kidnaped, and he goes on the trail of the abductors. Scott gets mixed up with a gang of smugglers but finds his son and brings the crooks to justice, then starts his life anew.
