The shape-shifting sci-fi series continues with this trim entry, in which the future's favorite bio-babe busts up a skyscraper take-over. In 2059, the genetically designed Kam (Bobbie Phillips) is an indispensable crime-buster who works for the IBI (Incorporated Bureau of Investigation). Improved by the addition of cougar, falcon and chameleon genes, Kam also has the power to make herself invisible. Although 98.2% human, Kam distrusts homo sapiens and balks at working with bigoted Agent Booker (Casey Siemaszko). Under orders from their boss, Webster (Tasha Smith), Kam, Booker and two other agents crash a penthouse shindig at the new Exstasio Hotel and Casino, where the high rollers include IBI associate Henry Kubica (John Waters), his son, Tyler (Ben Lawson), and criminal mastermind Reynard Dulac (Simon Westaway). Dulac regularly uses doubles to take the heat for him, and only Kam's animal instincts enable her to spot the true identity of a Dulac impostor (Mark Lee). The agents are charged with rescuing the Kubicas, but they don't know exactly what's going on, and neither does their boss. Though the IBI's Chairman alerted Webster to the possibility that the Kubicas might be kidnapped, he neglected to mention Dulac's real reason for using the Extasio party guests as hostages. While Kam and Booker focus on rescuing the Kubicas, the Dulac gang invades the building's basement stronghold. Further complicating matters is a conspiracy to steal vital IBI data from a subterranean computer and a bomb that's been fastened to Tyler: Is Henry Kubica a friend or foe of the IBI? Why doesn't someone cast B-movie icon Bobbie Phillips in a top-of-the-line movie? She's this DIE Hard rip-off's most attractive selling point, and a fine advertisement for genetic reconfiguring.
