Castle in the Desert Reviews

What was thought to be probably the last of the Charlie Chan whodunits is a mild little murder mystery which seems to have been thrown together in a hurry. It's as though Hollywood was eager to put the poor old gentleman out of work. Chan is called to a medieval castle, home for millionaire Dumbrille and his wife, to unravel strange goings-on among the weekend house guests who mostly wander about the place dressed in white tie, agonizing over the death of one of the guests. Even efforts to inject slapstick laughs through the antics of Yung fail to catch fire.
