Prepubescence and puberty are temporary phases in a young person's life, but ones of much uncertainty in the emotional and physical (i.e. bodily) changes, and one needing to cope with the changes while not having the experience to do so. While adults in authority in these young peoples' lives understand that these phases are temporary, they may not be able to provide an environment to help their young ones navigate through these phases. Six different teenagers are presented in how prepubescence and puberty manifest themselves in their lives, and how their parents deal with them.
