• After revealing her struggles with dyslexia in her autobiography, she became an active UK campaigner about the condition, served as the President of the Dyslexia Institute from 1995 through 1998 and was appointed an OBE for her efforts
• Originally wanted to be a nurse, but could not achieve the required proficiency in Latin due to her undiagnosed dyslexia
• Aside from her brown eyes and high cheekbones, she is known for her West End accent and the demure manner of many of her characters
