The second season begins some time after the plane crash. Jaime is missing and pressured dead. Losing Jaime, the leopard, and the possibility of a cure, has left the group split up and traumatized in Washington DC. Since the cure was lost with the leopard, the world has become over run with vengeful and violent animals. While the team is working separately, the government is trying to come up with another plan to fix the fatal choices that Reiden made; however, this plan is fraught with problems that could change the world even worse than it is. As the team gets good news and regroups, they are racing against time to save one of their own, the animals, and the world.
