ASHAF is writing her personal diary wondering what Life is all about. She feels that life is like an unresolved puzzle, where you resolve one and immediately you face a new issue. She sounds pessimistic. On the other hand, ZAROON seems to have no complaints about life, except women. RAFIA (Kashaf's mother) is proud of the fact that Kashaf gave her best during her exams and is sure that Kashaf is going to get admission in the best University. Later, we see Rafia's husband MURTAZA, getting upset after she mentions some repair work at home. There is some unsaid tension between both. Uncle ABRAR jokingly tells JUNAID (Zaroon's father) to send Zaroon to the University as Uncle feels that Zaroon is a careless youngster who needs to be tamed under his supervision and guidance. Sara (Zaroon's sister) and her mother are very similar. Both are independent women. Sara is currently in a relationship with Farhan. Asmara likes Zaroon though Zaroon considers her just a friend. Rafia & Kashaf catch a bus for the university. Rafia runs towards the bus with a broken chap-pal in her hand. Kashaf watches this and wonders why her life is so miserable and will it ever change?
