Episode 1
The Trial

Having failed to get home Brian is charged with starting the Snail Wars, having accidentally kicked a snail, believing it was a football. He is sentenced to trial by ordeal with the gigantic Radnok though luckily Howell inadvertently saves him. Meanwhile Barbara starts work as apprentice to lecherous blacksmith Jones but quits, due to his sexism, and resumes her role as a soothsayer.

Magic Darts

Still marooned in the parallel universe Brian asks Howell to teach him magic for self-preservation but is tricked into a spell which swaps their identities as Howell is facing an irate customer but this only leads to Howell losing his wizard's licence. Meanwhile the Fairies insist on a darts tournament, the winner to take possession of Herman's pub. Fortunately Barbara is an excellent player whilst another dangerous situation is averted by Steg's adopted son, a giant lizard which has hatched out of an egg.

The Party

Anxious to make friends his own age Brian heads for a trendy new bar and regales its sibling owners with his made up tales of "the other world." Meanwhile Barbara's old school-friend Rina, boasting of her success as a businesswoman, arrives with a magic shield stone which she sells to Howell. In fact she is a con artist out to fleece Barbara of her savings and Barbara and Howell pursue her to the bar where they discover what happens to people from "the other world" and whether the shield stone can prove its claim to ward off attackers.

Pear Fair

It is the eve of the annual pear fair and cash-strapped Brian joins Steg at the job of guarding the sacred albino pear tree - the destruction of which is said to lead to the country's ruin. However they get drunk and fall asleep and wake to find the pears rotting. They are arrested but fortunately Howell's magic memory spell allows Barbara to identify the true culprit.
Episode 5
Showtime

Hoping to reach the city of a thousand towers and a way home Brian joins the Brevit Players who will soon be performing there, as their dogs-body but is attacked by an escaped throck, who shreds the one copy of their play - so he writes a new one. This is a success, unlike his escape plan, due to a bomb in the playhouse. Fortunately Howell spots another means of helping him whilst Barbara strikes up an unlikely friendship with fairy policeman Chestnut.
Episode 6
The Henge

Howell agrees to take Brian to the Henge, on the summer solstice, where the magic will be released to send him home but Brian has to employ trickery when Howell announces that he has given up drink and magic. However, with Barbara's hostile ex-boyfriend guarding the Henge, Steg's new job would seem to be Brian's hope of returning home before two sinister strangers arrive in Munty.
