When You're A Stranger

Chased out of Transylvania by a mob of angry peasants, the Dracula family are forced to move to England. Vlad hopes a fresh start will give him the chance to be a normal kid but his new neighbor, vampire-obsessed Robin, is a long way from normal. Vlad tries to persuade his father to keep a low profile, but the Count is hungry after the long journey and their neighbors look like dinner to him.

Dead-Ucation

Much to his father's dismay, Vlad wants to go to school, where the new woodwork teacher, Van Helsing, becomes convinced that Robin is a vampire. Believing that the Branaghs have reported him to the school authorities, the Count declares a feud with them, but his missive is misunderstood as a request for Graham to fix the plumbing at the castle.

Mummy Returns

Fed up with being ignored, Ingrid invites her mother to visit. Worried that Magda will hurt them by leaving again, Vlad persuades the Count to kick her out. She moves in with the Branaghs where she devises a plan to marry the Count in order to claim the castle as her own. Meanwhile, Van Helsing is determined to catch the whole family.

Vlad has toothache and is worried that it means his fangs are coming through. The Count tries to get rid of Ingrid by arranging a marriage for her, so she enlists Robin to pose as her boyfriend. Meanwhile, Jonno must face a series of challenges to complete his slayer training.

A Matter of Life and Chess

Vlad tries to stop his father from attending the school's Parent's Evening, but Van Helsing lures the Count out of the castle by claiming that Chandu was the greatest chess player ever. Meanwhile Chandu, who was mummified 300 years ago, escapes from his imprisonment in the Count's basement and sets out to get his revenge.

Blood Relations

It's Vlad's 13th birthday, but his party plans are interrupted by a surprise visit from his grandparents. Feeling that the Count is bringing shame on the family by not upholding traditional vampire values, Krone and Atilla decide the only solution is for Vlad to gain his full vampire powers early. Meanwhile, Van Helsing and Jonno attach a video camera to Zoltan in order to spy on the castle.

When Robin steals Renfield's cockroaches, they escape and infest the Branagh house, forcing the family to move into the castle. But the Count is struggling with his peasant-free diet and the kids must stop him from biting Elizabeth. Meanwhile, Ingrid turns Ian and Paul into her slaves by promising to take one of them to the school disco.

Vlad wants to join the school rugby team, while Robin is determined to avoid it. When the Count tells Ingrid that he'll stop telling her what to do once she's married, she starts auditioning the boys at school, looking for a husband. It's Father's Day and Vlad and Robin invite both their dads camping, in the hope that they'll be a good influence on each other but instead they end up competing. Chloe persuades Renfield to stand up for himself, and Ingrid interferes as Van Helsing tries to impress his new girlfriend.

Halloscream

While trying to find Halloween costumes in the castle attic, Vlad and Robin accidentally unleash an ancient curse that will make the family normal. But if three screams are heard before midnight, the curse will be lifted and they will return to being vampires. While Vlad welcomes the curse, Robin turns to Zoltan for advice on how to make the Count scream.

The Blood Test

Vlad faces the first of his blood tests, an important exam that he must pass in order to gain his full vampire powers. Upset that he can't help Vlad with the test, Robin decides to try being normal and joins the school football team. Van Helsing sends Jonno into the castle to steal the test paper which he thinks will prove that vampires are real.

Countdown

The Count decides that Vlad needs an evil stepmother and hosts a Hunt Ball to find a bride. Ingrid invites the Branaghs, who are unaware that they are on the menu and at midnight the vampires will be after their blood. Meanwhile, Jonno discovers that his father was right all along when he finally realizes that vampires are real.
