Climate change is one of today's most hotly debated topics, not only in America but around the world. This series features firsthand accounts from people who have been affected by the occurrence, with a team of correspondents from the entertainment and news industries traveling around the world to report on effects of global warming and what people are doing to find solutions for it. Among the stories told are Oscar-winner Matt Damon's reporting on the health impact of heat waves around the globe, Golden Globe-winner Michael C. Hall's traveling to Bangladesh to get a vision of the future, and Emmy-winning journalist Lesley Stahl's heading to Greenland to examine the fate of the Arctic. Actors Don Cheadle, Harrison Ford and Jessica Alba are among the other entertainment icons who contribute reports to the hourlong episodes. The roster of executive producers includes James Cameron, Jerry Weintraub and Arnold Schwarzenegger.

And so the unnecessarily long goodbye begins for AMC's breakout, breakthrough signature series Mad Men, its final 14 hours being unconscionably broken into two halves over two years, starting Sunday at 10/9c. Showtime's hit shows usually depict life-and-death situations in a heightened version of the world around us. But the cable channel's new docu-series Years of Living Dangerously aims to shine a light on a real-world issue that could be just as dangerous: global warming.  A project three years in the making, the nine-episode series sends celebrity correspondents such as Arnold Schwarzenegger and Harrison Ford to areas around the world and throughout the U.S. affected by global warming. The stars interview experts and ordinary people alike about the impacts of climate change and also ask questions on behalf of the audience. According to executive producer Jerry Weintraub, co-creators Joel Bach and David Gelber wanted to use Hollywood A-listers not just for star power, but as a way for the average viewer to understand the enormity of the issue.

Showtime is taking on "the biggest story of our time" with the documentary series Years of Living Dangerously.
